Lila's Ascension with Sarasvati

Accompanied by Sarasvati, Queen Lila ascended into the sky, surpassing celestial realms and cosmic entities. They transcended the pole star and the abodes of enlightened sages, reaching beyond the domains of gods, Brahma, Goloka, and even the realms of Siva and the manes. From this vantage point, Lila beheld the sun and moon far below, barely visible in the vast expanse.

Reaching the Summit of Creation

Sarasvati guided Lila to ascend further, urging her to transcend even the summit of creation. All that had been witnessed thus far were mere particles emanating from this pinnacle. With unwavering will and pure consciousness, they swiftly reached this ultimate summit.

Perceiving the Essence of Existence

Upon reaching the summit, Lila perceived that creation was enveloped by layers of water, fire, air, and space, ultimately leading to pure consciousness. This infinite consciousness, devoid of illusions, radiated peace and glory. Within it, countless creations floated like dust particles, shaped by the self-projections of individual souls. These creations arose and dissolved in a cyclical dance, akin to the spontaneous play of a child.

Questioning the Notions of Direction

Rama questioned the significance of concepts like 'above' and 'below' in the realm of infinite truth. Vasistha elucidated that such directional references are akin to ants crawling on a round rock, perceiving what is beneath them as 'below' and what is behind them as 'above'.

Vasistha revealed the diversity within the countless universes, ranging from realms populated by plants, animals, and gods to those inhabited solely by oceans or darkness. Some universes faced dissolution, while others experienced eternal illumination. Despite the myriad manifestations, everything exists within the one infinite consciousness, originating from and returning to its boundless expanse.
