The Universe's Genesis: Brahma's Revelation
Day 103
The Universe's Genesis: Brahma's Revelation
Brahma recounts the inception of the universe, revealing that it originated from the mind. Upon awakening from cosmic night, Brahma's intention to create led to visions of diverse universes within his mind. These visions included creators, beings, scriptures, and moral codes, portraying the complexities of existence. Despite observing this vast creation within his mind, Brahma pondered its nature and sought answers from the sun.
Insight from the Sun
The sun acknowledges Brahma's omnipotence and explains that the ceaseless creative activity stems from the mind, deluding beings into perceiving reality or unreality. Despite Brahma's inherent knowledge, the sun responds to his inquiry, emphasizing the illusory nature of creation.
The Sons of Indu: A Tale of Aspiration
Near Mount Kailasa, the holy man Indu and his wife performed intense penance to conceive children. Satisfied with their devotion, Lord Shiva granted them the boon of ten worthy sons. These sons, mastering scriptures at a young age, pondered the ultimate goal of life after their parents' demise.
Aspiring for Creatorship
The sons conclude that attainment of creatorship is the highest goal, as it transcends mortal lordships. They resolve to meditate on being Brahma, envisioning themselves as the creator of the universe. Through steadfast meditation, they ultimately realize their aspiration.
